Bravo. And this paragraph in particular I thought extremely well written (maybe not more or less so than the others, but nevertheless notably powerful): "'Hate the sin, love the sinner' is passive-aggressive camouflage...do not have the emotional or cultural attachment to scripture that allows me to use it as a barometer to measure anything."

Bravo.

Most admiring of your holding to account this overused cliche.

Excellent, Paul. Incredibly well phrased and absolutely correct.

Excellent points! Very well written! Your stepdaughter is lucky to have you in her life.

Yes, today is 5/23/12 and it was appropriate that I came upon this you wrote about "Hate the Sin, love the sinner" A minister somewhere on the news said something about putting gays behind an electric fence until they did not exist anymore. All his friends and neigbors were agreeing with him!!! And they all said that, "Hate the sin, love the sinner" Usually I would get angry, but I guess I feel sorry for them being baby souls not having lived enough lifetimes, still being indoctrinated by those around them. As a hypnotist I understand how this programming takes place. So sad.
